Rockefeller Capital Management has added a Houston-based team of advisors from J.P. Morgan to its Global Family Office division. The team, led by managing directors Chris Sheets and Forrest Green, previously managed $1.4 billion in assets, according to a Forbes Best-in-State advisor ranking.
Sheets and Green are joined by vice presidents and private advisors Nick Routzahn, Hayden Kerns and Cameron Sheets, Chris’s son. Karoline Humphries is serving as the team chief operating officer, while McKenna Whitney has joined as a client associate and analyst.
Chris Sheets specializes in alternative and private investments, as well as wealth structuring and pre-liquidity event planning. Green brings expertise in complex planning, including intergenerational wealth transfer, concentrated stock positions, preparing privately held businesses for sale, and generating cash flow.
Prior to joining J.P. Morgan in 2018, the team was with Bernstein Private Wealth Management.
This follows news earlier this month that Rockefeller Global Family Office added The Kellam Group, a Naples, Fla.-based team from Truist. Rockefeller opened its first office on the west coast of Florida earlier this year.
Rockefeller Capital Management began as the family office of John D. Rockefeller in 1882 and was restructured as an independent advisory firm in 2018. The company has since grown to include three distinct businesses—Rockefeller Global Family Office, Rockefeller Global Investment Management and Rockefeller Global Investment Banking. The firm has many locations across the U.S. and one in London, overseeing about $237 billion in client assets.
